나자리노와 When A Child Is Born

아주 예전... 국민학교 때던가?
가끔 엄마랑 시내에 나가면 피스를 사곤했다.
(피스맞나? 피아노 악보.. 이놈의 기억력 하고는... ㅡㅡ;)
언젠가 엄마가 "When A Child Is Born"이라는 피스를 골랐다.
엄마 처녀 때 너무 감명깊게 본 영화 "나자리노"에 나온 노래라나..

엄마는 그 영화를 우리한테도 꼭 보여주고 싶었나보다.
어느날 비디오 가게에서 드디어 그 비디오를 찾아냈다.
영화는 그 당시에도 너무 오래된 영화 같았다.
대충 기억하는 건,
마을 추장의 일곱째 아이가 태어나면
그 아이는 보름달이 뜰 때 늑대로 변한다는...
뭐 대충 그런... 뭔가 슬펐던 기억은 나지만 썩 재밌지는 않았던...
그리고 살짝 야했던거 같은... ^^;

아무튼 그 노래는 영화를 안 본 사람들이라도 한번쯤은 들어봤음직한 유명한 노래이고,
계속 내 가슴 속에 아련히 슬픈 노래다.

오늘 심혜진의 영화음악인가?
아무튼 어쩌다 그걸 듣게 됐는데 이 노래가 나왔다.
언제 들어도 뭔가 뭉클한 노래.. ㅎㅎ

가사를 찾아보았다.
그런데 왠걸.
아주 짧은 내 영어 실력으로 봐서 그런지 몰라도 가사가 완전 희망차고 긍정적이네. ㅎㅎ
영어가 너무 짧아서 그런가?

어쨌든.. 그 영화를 언제 한번 다시 보고싶다는 얘기다.
